Humanly is a concept launched in the USA. Humanly was born during the pandemic with the increasing demand for remote and virtual learning. It aims to facilitate the knowledge and teaching experience between students and coaches or teachers.
Humanly gets teachers onboard who then can create their engagements on the Humaly platform, invite students and get payment through Humanly.
A few of the challenges we faced were to make a streamlined mechanism for teachers to offer services and students to opt from them instead of manually seeking by designing an ideal, meaningful platform that would be trusted by both the teachers and students or their guardians.
As a new brand in the market, the AcmeMinds team had been assigned to develop a web and mobile app that would be aesthetically appealing, user-friendly, and hold a fluid navigation approach.
We did user research to understand the user base, their aspirations, expectations and what they seek in the product. We connected with teachers and coaches and conducted one on one user interviews to gather this information. We also analyzed and synthesized the data collected and categorised it into must have and good to have features.
Low and high-fidelityty wireframes were designed as part of the initial design process. This incorporated not only the insights from the various user testing techniques used but also took into account the basics of a good and intuitive user experience and fluent and fluid design.
Based on the research, we crafted wireframes for a website first platform, emphasizing on:
We conducted user testing at various steps of wireframing and design to get
ongoing feedback from who the actual users would be. This ensured less rework at the end in terms of development and testing the product before launch.
Once we set the tone for the structure of wireframes, we moved to the user interface designing part. We researched on best colour palettes, design language and fonts that can be associated best with a product catering to education and teaching. We then designed the web and mobile applications taking into account design aesthetics, design language chosen for the product and best fitting to the wireframes.
We analyzed the big players in the teaching and coaching industry to understand what we need to build the foundation of this platform. We identified and studied user personas to understand their motivation and pain points. We used each of the user groups of teachers and learners for the same.
